This class sure beats going to the gym! You are outdoors, in beautiful surroundings the whole time. Because class sizes are kept small, you really get individualized attention, akin to one-on-one training. Shirley makes sure everyone follows proper form, so as to maximize the work out and minimize the risk of injury. Plus, Shirley is a great motivator, and fun to work with. I have a hard time imagining a fitness class any better than this! - DD
I am writing this review after having a great work out at Shirley's TRX Tuesday class this morning. Shirley's classes work your whole body in a complete, stress free, fun way. Her class takes place outdoors so you get to enjoy the beauty of Marin while working out with others. Shirley emphasis proper form and is always checking on you through out the class. She has great energy that make the class an enjoyable way to start the day! I am so glad I have been taking her classes as I can really feel a difference in my strength, endurance, and energy. - JS
Get Core is the best fitness series I have ever taken! When I first started to take Get Core classes, I was a little nervous. Would I be able to keep up with the class? Would I be able to do the exercises? After the first class, I realized I didn't need to worry at all. Because Shirley is a physical therapist, she is keenly aware of body mechanics and people's limitations. She always modifies the exercises to fit each person, not the class. Another huge draw: the classes are held outside indifferent parks in Marin—fresh air! Every class is different, challenging, and best of all, fun! - LS
I have been a part of Get Core (group) training for years. Shirley's background as a physical therapist is essential in her ability to modify workouts for everyone. I always felt safe and supported no matter what exercise we were doing. I started Shirley's workouts thinking I was a fairly physical fit person. Little did I know, I had so much to learn. Not only have I lost 25 pounds, I feel better than I ever have and I am in my 40s! I have learned so much, that I feel confident doing my own workouts at home, or when I am traveling, using all that I have learned from Shirley. If you want a challenging workout, planned and implemented by a physical therapist and fitness professional, look no further. The cherry on top is that you get to do all of this outside! - KF
